Establishing StormSensor’s Proof of Concept

The initial twelve Scute network served as a proof of concept for StormSensor’s technology: networked sensors, wireless communications, and cloud-based software. 

In addition, StormSensor was able to provide flow balance data detailing routing of stormwater flow through several holding systems throughout the SeaTac airport facility at the Port of Seattle.

The port provided an ideal environment for StormSensor’s initial real-world test run, proving that application of the low-cost sensor network combined with smart software generates useful data for communities to make the best decisions for their city’s finances, their environment and their citizens’ health.
